About ZHOU Qian
ZHOU Qian is a composer and music theorist. She was a visiting scholar at the Center for New Music and Audio Technologies (CNMAT) at UC Berkeley in 2012, and a visiting researcher at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University in 2013. She received the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation Award for Young University Teachers in 2014. Currently, she serves as Associate Professor of Electroacoustic Composition and Theory in the Department of Composition at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Zhou Qian has been commissioned by international music festivals such as ICMC (International Computer Music Conference), MATA Festival, Asian Composers League, Beijing and Shanghai International Electroacoustic Music Weeks, and the EMS (Electroacoustic Music Studies Network) International Forum on Electroacoustic Music to create and premiere works including Qu Shui Ming Yun, Shan, Elegy, Wings of the Galaxy, and others for electronics and diverse combinations of Chinese and Western instruments.
Her research papers on electroacoustic music have been presented at academic conferences and published in leading music journals in China and abroad. Key publications include: Creativity Arising from Cross-Dimensional Connections; The Special-Topic Series Musical Thinking in 3D Sound Space; The Properties and Structural Methods of Timbre and Sound; and New Directions in Composition within Plural Contexts. Her work addresses three major areas: the multidimensionality of musical structure, emerging compositional concepts and techniques in international electroacoustic music, and the acoustical construction of non-pitched sound systems.

关于周倩
周倩，作曲家、音乐学者，加州伯克利“新音乐与音频技术研究中心”访问学者（UC Berkeley CNMAT 2012），斯坦福“计算机音乐研究中心”访问研究员（Stanford University CCRMA 2013），霍英东高校青年教师基金项目获得者（2014）。她目前任上海音乐学院作曲系电子音乐创作和理论副教授。
国际音乐节如ICMC、MATA、亚洲作曲家联盟、北京和上海国际电子音乐周、EMS电子音乐国际学术论坛等，邀周倩创作首演：曲水鸣韵、嬗、挽歌、星河的羽翼等电子及各类中西器乐作品。
海内外学术会议和音乐核心期刊发表了她的电子音乐系列论文：纵横联结中催生的创造性；专项：3D声音空间中的音乐创作思维、音色－音响的特质及其结构方式、多元语境中的作曲新路等，涉及音乐结构多维性、国际电子音乐新创作观念和手法、非乐音体系音响构造学这三个领域。
周倩曾受哈佛、纽约、谢菲尔德（英）、浸会（港）等大学的音乐系邀请作电子音乐专题演讲。她的研究获教育部和央财支持的国家重点学科项目、上海市教委创新科研项目等资助。
